Changing your Password on Hetzner Webmail

To login to your webmail online:

1. Navigate in your browser to: https://webmail.konsoleh.co.za/login
2. Enter your full email address into the Email: field
3. Enter your password in the Password Field
4. Click Webmail Login

To change the password:

1. Login to your webmail account as above.
2. Click on the settings cog in the top right hand corner
3. Click on Manage Mailbox in the left column
4. You will be asked to re-enter your password
5. Click the blue Change Password button in the right column
6. Enter your new password in the Enter New Password field
7. Re-enter your new password in the Confirm new password field
8. Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click the green Update mailbox button

A few notes on creating secure passwords:

• Your password should contain capital and lower case letters, special characters and numbers.
• Do not use “Keyboard Sequences” in your password e.g. 753, 123, qaz, qwerty or rgn
• Do not use common words or names in your password – even your pet’s name is not advisable to use.
• If you would like to check how secure your password is, pop along to this website (https://howsecureismypassword.net). This site will tell you how long it will take a hacker on a normal pc to crack your password, you are aiming for a score of a few million years not a few days. You may feel that there isn’t a chance that anyone will know you exist, or that your username is secure, however spammers and other hackers are constantly on the look-out for passwords to crack to gain access to your information.
• We suggest you use a password manager to keep track of your passwords and access codes. We recommend Password Keeper which can be found on your mobile app store or on the net.
